Why do students need grinds?

 Learning in groups of 20-30 works very well for most students, most of the time.   

 However many students benefit from some one-to-one tutoring.

​

What about the Orals?

The oral component of Leaving Certificate Higher Irish is now 40% and 25% for modern   languages       such as French and Spanish.  

 

Our tutors help students improve their speaking skills with a lot of guided one-to-one practice   which focuses on the exact requirements of the examination. 

 

What about Project Work?

Many subjects now require the submission of projects before the exam.  For example in history,  geography, home economics and religious studies projects make up 20% of the

exam mark. 

 

From 2025 there will be a roll out of curriculum changes which will see project work added to all subjects and accounting for at least 40% of the final grade. The process starts for fifth year students starting September 2025 in seven subjects: business, biology, chemistry, physics, Arabic, Latin, and Ancient Greek.  At Teacher Perfect our tutors can give students extra support and guidance on their project work.

Our tutors are all very familiar with the marking schemes and know how to help students   achieve  maximum marks.

 

The School does Not Offer all Subjects

Some students want to take classes in subjects not available in their school.

 

Groups

We can provide group classes (Max. 6).

 

Junior Tuition (Late primary/First year secondary)

Some children may not be ready for secondary school. A little tuition, particularly in English, Irish and maths, will give your child the confidence to thrive

in secondary school.
